Plant Street Recycling Plans

Plant Street Recycling is bringing curbside recycling back to Winter Garden—starting with Stoneybrook West and expanding to more neighborhoods soon. For just $25 a month, residents receive two (2) 14-gallon recycling bins and reliable weekly pickup service right from their curb. Our program is designed to be simple, convenient, and consistent. We accept the five core materials: aluminum cans, paper, paperboard (like cereal boxes), glass bottles and jars, and plastic containers. Our team sorts materials curbside to ensure everything is processed correctly, minimizing contamination and maximizing effectiveness.

Backed by a city-approved franchise agreement through 2027 and fully compliant with environmental and safety standards, Plant Street Recycling is a trusted local option for residents who want to reduce waste without the hassle. There are no confusing rules, no seasonal shutdowns, and no need to haul recyclables to a drop-off site. Everything is handled for you—just set your bin out on your designated day. With a growing waitlist and high demand across neighborhoods, now is the perfect time to join a movement toward cleaner streets and a more sustainable Winter Garden.

Benefits of Recycling

Why Recycling Matters for Winter Garden

Recycling is one of the simplest ways to make a lasting impact on our environment and our community. By keeping materials like aluminum, glass, paper, and plastic out of the landfill, Winter Garden residents can reduce pollution, conserve natural resources, and help build a more sustainable future. Curbside recycling makes it even easier to do your part, turning everyday waste into valuable new products.

One of the key benefits of recycling is the conservation of energy and raw materials. Producing new products from recycled materials often uses significantly less energy than manufacturing from scratch. For example, recycling aluminum cans saves up to 95% of the energy needed to make new ones. When residents of Winter Garden choose to recycle consistently, they help reduce the city’s overall carbon footprint and support a cleaner, healthier local environment.

Recycling also strengthens our local economy. As more Winter Garden households participate in curbside programs like Plant Street Recycling, it creates jobs in collection, sorting, and processing—boosting green industry growth right here in Central Florida. Plus, recycling programs reduce the burden on landfills and city waste services, helping to keep long-term costs down. Choosing to recycle is a small habit that delivers big rewards—for your home, your neighborhood, and the planet.
